National Benevolent Association

CP4I has been an Affiliate of the National Benevolent Association (NBA) since 2016, shortly after our organization began as UrbanMission Community Partners.  Our staff members have presented educational programs on restorative justice, social entrepreneurship, and more for NBA audiences; we have also received cutting-edge training and significant funding support from the NBA.

Serving as the health and social services general ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the NBA partners with a variety of Disciples-related health and social service providers, as well as congregations and other community organizations, to create communities of compassion and care.

NBA’s shared work advances care for and with others in our communities and raises awareness of needs that are often overlooked and forgotten—needs such as affordable housing; spiritual care for the incarcerated; children and family services; programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities; care and advocacy for older adults; hunger and food security initiatives; and other efforts responding to human need in its many expressions.
